As usual, we've been busy over at the Teachable HQ this month! From hosting our 4th Teachable summit to bringing you design and security updates to continuing to interview folks to expand our team, we have plenty to tell you about. Continue reading to see what the Teachable team has been up to this month :)

Highlights From The Month

Updated Signup/Login Page Design

For schools using myTeachable, the new signup and login pages make it easier for students to choose whether to use a school-specific account or myTeachable account to access the school. Changes also include a cleaner visual look and separate terms of use and privacy policies.

ReCAPTCHA Toggle

With the reCAPTCHA toggle, we've added an extra security option for schools who want to prevent robo-signups from spamming their schools. You can turn on the reCAPTCHA toggle from Settings > General > School in your admin area.

Teachable Employee Spotlight

meetcam (1).pngMeet Cameron Mattis

How long have you been working at Teachable?

2 years in July!

What do you do at Teachable?

I’m our head of Sales and Accounts—which basically means that I am often wearing different hats. On a given day, you might find me leading our Quickstart webinar, troubleshooting an issue with an Enterprise client, helping out our sales team with their calls, and (of course) closing deals. Also, emails. Lots and lots of emails.

What’s the best thing about your experience working at Teachable?

The people, 100%. We’re not just coworkers, we’re actually friends. Whatever work you’re doing, it’s always great to be doing it with people you care about and can work closely with, and that’s Teachable for sure.

What’s an interesting Teachable school that you’ve come across?

Probably biased since they’re an Enterprise school (and I love Enterprises!) but Stella & Dot, the makeup/accessory/lifestyle company, uses us for training thousands of people across multiple brands. http://stelladot.teachable.com/

What are you most excited about going forward?

It’s been incredible to see this company grow over the (almost) two years that I’ve been here. We’re working on some super exciting product updates, including big changes to our checkout that should make it faster and higher converting than ever. Always exciting things happening :)

Our Finest Content From the Month

Besides working on the Summit and Design Masterclass, the content team also kept creating valuable posts and guides for the blog. Here are some of the highlights:

What’s Happening Next Month

Improving the student checkout experience is still one of our top priorities, so in this month and following months watch out for improvements! Our goal is to decrease cart abandonment rates and increase sales for all Teachable schools.

Our other big update coming soon is a facelift for your comments sections. Comments are an important part of how students interact with their instructors and one another, so we want to make them as intuitive to use and easy to manage as we can.

We're so excited for you to see everything that's coming. See you next month!
