So you might be wondering why we decided to devote an entire Thursday post to showing you how to use a new tool.... It comes down to 4 big reasons.

Video content is on the rise. From Snapchat to GIFs, Facebook Video and Periscope it's clear that people want video. 

According to Hubspot, "65% of senior marketing executives believe that visual assets (photos, video, illustrations and infographics) are core to how their brand story is communicated" and over 50% of marketers say video content has the highest ROI. 

I personally agree. I've found that video content is faster to create than most blog posts and sees higher engagement. Our blog posts on creating DIY Videos, setting up your at home studio and editing your videos are some of our most popular.

Because Teachable isn't a marketplace, our instructors are truly the most competitive in the elearning industry, which is why we wanted to build something for them that would take their video courses to a new level. 

Generally an online course is synonymous with video course, but as far as I've seen there isn't a course with interactive video. I'd bargain to say that in using and integrating Vizia's you're one step ahead of the competition.

Tips for Creating Video

A few tips on video, remember to engage and attract your audience in 10 seconds. Desktop viewers will watch videos for 2 minutes and mobile viewers for 5. Keep that in mind as you figure our the length of your content. 

Within our course, we at Teachable suggest keeping your lecture videos to less than 15 minutes and preferably under 1o.
